“The New York I Love” follows a newcomer discovering the magic of New York for the first time. Arriving with a satchel and a twinkle in his eye, Benny explores the city through the changing seasons, inspired by the musicians, neighborhoods, and people he meets along the way. As he encounters a mysterious young woman again and again, another New Yorker repeatedly crosses his path ... Joe the deli cat.

When Joe finds himself stranded in a tree, the community bands together, and with a little help from street buskers, Benny finally opens his satchel and realizes that music is the answer. With a city uniting to rescue Joe the cat, Benny finds his place in New York, and perhaps someone to share it with. Written by Bethany Rubin and performed by Benny Benack III, “The New York I Love” reflects one of the greatest things about New York: the people.
